In 1968, adopting the 1800cc engine, the Alfa Romeo coupé lost the Giulia name but retained all the characteristics that had made it famous. Immediately identifiable by the four-headlight grille and flat hood, the 1750 GT Veloce benefited from a more modern interior with a redesigned dashboard and center console. Slightly more powerful than the 1600cc Giulia GT (12 horsepower more), the 1750 GTV offered a practically perfect compromise between performance and ride elasticity. Even today it remains one of the most homogeneous versions of the Bertone coupé. Production of the GTV continued until 1972.
