BBR-MODELS - FERRARI - 275 GTB/C COUPE S/N 09057 N 33 CAVALLINO CLASSIC EDITION 2009

The second series Ferrari 275 GTB had a fairly short career but 200 examples were still produced. Numerous GTBs had a sporting career but for competitions Ferrari conceived a specific model, the 275 GTB / C. Aesthetically similar to the 275 GTB, the GTB / C was however a quite different machine, especially in terms of mechanics: the engine was fitted with competition camshafts, 250 LM valves, reinforced pistons, modified transmission shaft and Weber 40 DFI / 3 carburetors. A dry sump was also adopted, a prerogative of all Ferrari sports prototype cars. A great effort was then made to lighten the car, by means of a finer bodywork, plexiglass windows (except the windshield) and lightened parts for the chassis and engine. The wheel arches were slightly wider to accommodate larger wheels. 12 units of the 275 GTB / C were built between May and August 1966, with the following chassis numbers: 9007, 9027, 9035, 9041, 9051, 9057, 9063, 9067, 9073, 9079, 9085.
