The 03 variant of the Porsche 908 was designed for the 1970 World Sports Championship season. Characterized by a very light tubular frame and a powerful 3000cc engine, the car was particularly suited to circuits such as the Nurburgring or the Targa Florio. The 908/03 made agility one of its best weapons. For 1971, the bodywork was modified receiving among other things two stabilizer fins in the tail. Some chassis were sold to private individuals and continued to run until the early 80s with aspirated and even turbo engines.
