In 1961 Kenworth presented the W900, whose cabin respected the traditional American dictates, just as other manufacturers began to experiment with more modern solutions. Beginning in 1966, the W900 underwent a series of major upgrades, with a longer and taller bunk, a wider, sloping bonnet, square headlights instead of round ones, and more efficient engines. The W900 is still in production today, under the acronym W900L.
