Presented at the 1965 London Motor Show, the Ford Corsair was an elegant four-door sedan, available with 4-cylinder engines starting at 1502cc. A 1996cc engine was mounted on the GT (Essex, from 1966 De Luxe) and then, from 1967 also on the 2000E, which was characterized by a vinyl roof, radial tires and various improved details. Engine power increased from 93 to 103 horsepower. The 2000E was capable of exceeding 160 km/h and in certain periods it covered 40% of the sales of the entire range.
