Extremely striking line, two seats, 6-cylinder 207 horsepower engine, limited edition: these were the essential characteristics of the Alfa Romeo SZ coupé, designed by a group consisting of Stefano Iacoponi, Walter de 'Silva, Giorgio Pianta, Elio and Gianni Zagato, Giuseppe Bizzarrini. Based on the floor of the Alfa Romeo 75 racing mechanics, this very original two-seater was set up, which was assembled at the Zagato, in Terrazzano di Rho. The line itself, all too particular, in addition to the problems of assembly quality limited the success of the car, which was also marketed in the form of a spyder (in that case it was no longer called SZ but RZ).
