The third and final generation of the Commodore, the C, was introduced in March 1978. The new car was based on the Rekord E, and was also available with a break body. The Commodore C remained in production until August 1981, gradually benefiting from technical and aesthetic updates. The engine was the 2490cc in-line 6-cylinder, with variable powers based on the power supply.
