SPARK-MODEL - TRIUMPH - SPITFIRE GT6 MK3 COUPE 1970

In the autumn of 1966, Triumph presented a coupé with pleasing lines, called the GT6 and derived from the Spitfire. The 4-cylinder engine was replaced by the 6-cylinder of the Triumph 2000 sedan, which developed 95 horsepower. The GT6 had a long career during which it benefited from various mechanical improvements. The Mk2 series, recognizable by the different shape of the front bumper, debuted in autumn 1968, while the Mk3 was presented in 1970, borrowing some stylistic elements from the Spitfire Mk4. The GT6 went out of production in 1973 (seven years before the Spitfire) with 41,000 units produced.
