The Toyota TS010 Gr.C was long awaited during 1991, being able to debut only at the end of the season in Japan, on the occasion of the last race of the World Sports Championship. The car was equipped with a 3.5-liter V10 engine, with a power output of over 600 horsepower. The chassis was a carbon fiber monocoque. After the advent of Group C, Toyota did not stop developing increasingly high-performance cars, gradually making use of Tom's, one of the best Japanese tuners, which became the brand's official sports technological antenna.
