The Opel Rekord C was marketed in 1966, in different body variants: sedan 2 and 4 doors, Caravan (break) and coupé. The sedan had different engines, ranging from 4-cylinder 1492cc, 1698cc and 1897cc, up to 6-cylinder 2239cc. In April 1967 an elongated version of 20cm was presented, suitable for taxi use. The “L” versions were characterized by a more luxurious and refined finish. The Rekord C went out of production in 1971 to make way for the Rekord D.
