Presented in 1970, the Manta was a 2 + 2 coupe with modern and pleasing lines. A version with 1897cc engine called GT / E was added to the 1.2 and 1.6-liter engines, with more sporty features and a more striking look. This engine gave a hundred and at the end of production Solex carburettors were replaced by a Bosch L-Jetronic injection system. The whole range was replaced in 1975 by the new generation of the Manta, known as "B".
