Presented on January 15, 1993, the Jordan 193 derived directly from the previous year's car. The engine was new, after Eddie Jordan's team announced their separation from Yamaha, signing a two-year deal with Brian Hart. The Hart engine was a 72 ° V10, signed 1035 with four valves per cylinder and Zytek components. Several drivers drove for Jordan in 1993: Barrichello (present in all the Grands Prix), Capelli, Boutsen, Irvine, Naspetti and Apicella. The results were anything but brilliant, with just three points won, thanks to a fifth place by Barrichello and a sixth by Irvine in the Japanese GP.
