Most GT manufacturers having already been offering the rear axle with independent wheels on their top performance machinery for some time, the Maserati Indy, presented in 1968, still came with a rigid axle. Despite this, the technical characteristics were interesting, with a 4-cylinder engine of 4136cc and 260 horsepower, capable of making the car reach 245 km / h, a figure difficult to beat by other GTs of the late sixties. Maserati Indy went out of production in 1974, after 1136 units built.
