The Group A version of the Delta Integrale 8V, which replaced the 1987 HF 4WD, debuted at the 1988 Rally of Portugal, winning it with Miki Biasion. The Group A Integral had a 2000cc engine with a maximum power of 280 horsepower at 4000 rpm. The career of this model, which contributed significantly to winning two world championships for Lancia and Biasion, ended at the 1989 Rally of Australia; in the following race, the Sanremo, the new version made its debut, equipped with a 4-valve per cylinder engine.
