Replacing a very successful car is never easy. This is what Peugeot was called upon to do when the 206 went out of production. The new model, the 207, appeared in 2006, with a design perhaps not too successful but with an improved build quality compared to the Peugeot of the past. A distinctly sporty version also disappeared from the range and the more powerful version had to be content with 175 horsepower, those of the 1.6 THP. The 207 offered four variants: sedan with 3 or 5 doors, break and coupé-cabriolet. After a restyling in September 2009, the 207 went out of production in 2014.
