The Forges et Ateliers de Construction d’Eure-et-Loir (Facel) launched in 1954 in the manufacture of luxury cars with Chrysler V8 engines. Five years later a small sports car was produced with a French twin-shaft, then replaced by the Volvo and again later a 6-cylinder BMC. The Facels produced were about 3000 until 1965, the year of liquidation. The Facel II, produced from 1961 to 1964, was an elegant coupé, today one of the most sought after models of the brand, with prices that can reach 280,000 euros, almost as much as the first FV / FV1’s.
