The 1100S Coupé was presented at the 1949 Geneva Motor Show, along with the C versions of the 500. The coupé had the same mechanics as the 1947 1100S, but completely new bodywork designed by Pinin Farina. Compared to the 1100S of '47 it had a different bridge ratio. Production began in 1950 with the entry into the catalog of the 1100 E, so much so that the car was also called the 1100ES.
