Incarnation of the popular coupé, the Renault 15 and 17, presented in 1971, still have a pleasant line today, even if the aesthetics actually prevail over dynamic qualities. The two models are derived from a single concept, but the 17 had a sportier look, and from 1975 a Gordini version was launched, with a 5-speed gearbox and 108 horsepower engine. Already the TS had brighter characteristics, with 98 horsepower. The second series was introduced in 1976, with body modifications. The other quieter engines derived from the R12. The Renault R17 remained in production until 1979.
