Rochet-Schneider was a Lyon brand, very famous for the quality of its products, which already before 1900 produced light cars. A small car with a single-cylinder engine that was marketed between 1898 and 1902 remained famous. In the 1930s, production was oriented towards larger cars, including commercial vehicles. In 1952 the brand was taken over by Berliet.
