In 1913, the Milanese count Marco Ricotti bought an ALFA 40-60HP and equipped it with an aerodynamic and avant-garde body, designed by Ercole Castagna. The aluminum bodywork was completely different from the shapes of the time, still heavily influenced by horse-drawn carriages. Thanks to this body, the top speed went from 125 to 139 km / h. The following year the car was transformed into a torpedo. In 1976 a replica was rebuilt, curated by Luigi Fusi and with the collaboration of Castagna himself, destined for the Alfa Romeo Museum.
