When the 275 GTB / 4 rolled off the scene in 1968, Ferrari had to replace it with a car that lived up to a recent but already glorious past. With the 365 GTB / 4 which appeared at the 1968 Paris Motor Show and named Daytona in honor of Ferrari's victory at the 1967 Daytona 24 Hours, the Maranello company exceeded all expectations, with a wonderful coupé designed by Pininfarina, a happy synthesis between tradition and modernity. The engine was a 4.4 liter 352 hp V12. With the Daytona, elements were anticipated that characterized the entire Ferrari production up to the early eighties.
