In 1973 BMW produced some aerodynamic appendages to be mounted on the production 3.0CSL, to obtain Group 2 homologation. The kit included the front fairing, a wing to be placed on the rear of the roof and a spoiler for the rear hood. Mechanically, the kit featured a lightened camshaft. 110 were produced with this kit, which allowed BMW to achieve numerous successes in the touring and endurance championships.
