The 125S was the first car officially bearing Enzo Ferrari's name, after the Auto Avio Costruzioni experience. The 125S had a 1500cc 12 cylinder engine and made its race debut at the 1947 Piacenza Grand Prix with Franco Cortese at the wheel. The 125S had an aerodynamic bodywork known as the “Ala Spessa”. A second exemplar of the 125S, the “Competizione”, had a different bodywork with separate fenders. The two cars no more exist, as they had been dismantled to build further versions in the following years but in 1987 Michelotto, using original projects and drawings, rebuilt a perfect replica of the Ala Spessa.
