Thanks to the small TC introduced in the range at the end of the Second World War, MG had no difficulty finding a market. The TC was still a very traditional car, which relied on construction techniques still dating back to the thirties. Nonetheless, TC represented the beginning of the English spyder tradition as it would prevail throughout the 1950s and 1960s. The MG TC had a 1250cc 4-cylinder engine for 54 horsepower and remained in production from 1945 to 1949, with approximately 10,000 units sold, many of them in the United States.
