The 6C 1750 had been a very important car for Alfa Romeo from a sporting, commercial and image point of view. At the end of his career, the management decided to divide the production into two strands: on the one hand the 8C 2300, sporty and prestigious, on the other the 6C 2300, more comfortable. The 6C's powerplant was a 2309cc straight-six, with 68 horsepower. Presented in 1934 in two versions (Turismo and Sport), the 6C 2300 often received very beautiful bodywork from the major specialists. The 6C 2300 also had a sporting career, making its debut in the 1934 Coppa d'Oro del Littorio with two Brianza spider-bodied cars from Scuderia Ferrari.
