The abbreviation MBX distinguished the 2-door version of the Skoda 1000/1100 series introduced in the mid-sixties. The MBX had a rather original line, characterized by the absence of the side pillar. Two 4-cylinder engines: 988 and 1107cc (1000MBX and 1100MBX). The engines of the MBXs were generally more powerful than those of the standard sedans. Production ceased in 1969 to make way for the 100/110 range.
