The 166MM Barchetta was the car that gave Ferrari their first Le Mans win, in 1949. The engine was a 1995cc 12-cylinder, fitted with three double-barrel carburettors. With 140 horsepower at 6600 rpm, the 166MM could reach a top speed of 210 km / h. The gearbox was 5-speed and the weight was particularly low: 680 kg. The particularly harmonious bodywork was designed by the son of the founder of Touring, Carlo Bianchi-Anderloni. Due to its performance and ease of use, the 166MM also achieved considerable success with drivers and private teams, who achieved numerous victories over several seasons. A coupé version was also created of the 166MM, again designed by Touring.
