In May 2010, Porsche unveiled the top model of the 997 range, the 911 GT2 RS, destined to be marketed from September. The car had the 3600cc 6-cylinder turbo engine in a special version that gave 620 horsepower 6500 rpm, combined with a 6-speed manual transmission. The weight had been reduced to 1370kg and the performance was outstanding. Production was limited to just 500 units.
