In 1967 the production of the Jensen Interceptor ceased at the Vignale body shop and the specialist found himself with a whole stock of unused parts, especially the doors. Thus it was that Vignale came up with the idea of creating a new bodywork model, based on the mechanical basis of the Fiat 125. This coupé, called Samantha, was built in a hundred examples and managed directly by Vignale, as Fiat had not agreed to deal with of the official distribution.
