The 924 was some sort of shock for Porsche enthusiasts: front engine was something Porsche fans were not accustomed to. The car shoud have been sold under the VW badge, but out of several economic and political reasons, Porsche took over the production - and it was a success! There are many models of the 924 in its various versions, but Avenue43 have now reproduced a prototype configuration that was used as a test car. There is a handful of Porsche 924 known, and this one is widely documented. Known as the project EA 425, the Porsche 924 development went through a series of working test-cars and moke-ups more and more akin to the actual production car. The development of the 924 is a fascinating story model manufacturers will perhaps thoroughly cover one day. The model is a well detailed 1:43 resincast with photoetched parts and many other details. State of the art in this category, Avenue43 offer very good value for money.
