The commercial success of the Dino 246 GT was also repeated by the GTS, produced from 1972 above all for the American market. The GTS was distinguished from the GT by the absence of the rear windshield, by the roll bar, similar in shape to that of the 206S competition, and by a removable plastic roof, which could be removed and housed behind the seats. The engine was still the 2419cc V6, with an output of 195 horsepower at 7600 rpm.
