The Ferrari 166 in the Corsa version, also known as Inter, equipped with the 2-liter engine, is linked to the legendary feat of Tazio Nuvolari at the 1948 Mille Miglia, when only the failure of a crossbow, compromised in a collision in which he had also lost the bonnet, deprived him of a memorable victory. The 166SC had a rather long racing life: this car was used throughout 1948 and a good part of 1949, both in the long and short wheelbase versions, with several configurations in relation to the needs of the various races.
