In mid-October 1974 the Fiat 131 Mirafiori was born, the new “medium” Fiat with 1300 and 1600cc displacements, of classic design, ie front engine and rear wheel drive. The 131 replaced the 124. The car had a modern and pleasant style and the range consisted of eleven versions, 2 or 4-door sedan (normal or special) and family. The first series of the 131 was produced until 1978.
