In February 1966, Ferrari presented their new weapons for the season that was about to begin: among these was the prototype Dino 206S, with a 1986cc V6 engine. In the intentions of the Maranello house, the 206S Dino had to be produced in 50 units to obtain homologation in the Sport category. This was not possible and the car always had to be entered in the Prototype category. Over the course of its career, the car showed good competitiveness, both with the official team and with private teams, proving to be effective even in uphill races. Two configurations were made, with coupé and spyder bodywork.
