The first version of the Hillman Husky was a kind of hybrid between a family car and a small van. Very practical in the city, the Husky did not shine for performance or road behavior. The engine was a 1265cc 4-cylinder. Cheaper than most of the Minx range, the Husky first series was produced up to 1957 in about 42,000 units. A van version was also built, the Commer Cob.
