Based on the mechanics of the Mini (848, 998, 1098 and 1275cc engines), the Marcos was the twin of the Mini-Jem. Equipped with fiberglass bodywork, the car was particularly suited to racing and was produced starting in 1965 under various managements. First it was Jem Marsh who produced it (until the mid-seventies), then Harold Dermott of Midas until 1981 and then Marcos again from 1991, in a renewed version known as Mk.V.
