From the modification of the FA1 / D, Osella obtained the FA1 / E, designed by Tony Southgate with an Alfa Romeo engine and gearbox. The car was never very competitive and the Osella FA / E obtained only three places out of 19 participations. The car was also revised in 1984, in Imola.
