The Corvair Pininfarina Coupé Speciale was a prototype based on the shortened platform of the Chevrolet Corvair. The objective was to design a car with sporting characteristics, lightness and aerodynamic efficiency. The stylistic result was very balanced: the headlights were reminiscent of certain Ferraris of the time, the roof was agile with the windshield pillars facing slightly backwards. The interior was in pigskin and the original color was pine green. The car, a unique example, was presented at the 1962 Paris Motor Show.
