According to a rather consolidated use at Ferrari, the experience gained in competitions found immediate application in series production. The use of the turbo was in fact extended to the 208 GTB and GTS models starting in 1982. The 1991cc V8 engine was now equipped with a KKK turbo which increased power to 220 horsepower. The 208 GTB and GTS Turbo achieved great sales success, with 687 units built until 1986.
