Most of the Alfa Romeo coupes were designed by Bertone; one of the few to escape this rule is the Giulia GT Junior, designed in 1969 by Zagato, which normally only dealt with the sportier versions. The original Giulia GT Junior coupe was equipped with two engines, 1300 and 1600cc (from 1972). 1510 examples were produced until 1975. Characterized by large glass surfaces and original and harmonious shapes, the Junior Zagato coupé did not have a major sporting career, mainly intended for use on the road.
