In the Formula 1 championship, Ferrari fielded several cars with different engines: the 158 with the V8, the 1512 with the 12 cylinders and also the Dino 156 with the V6 which had debuted in a new form the previous year. The 156 took a victory at the Austrian GP in Zeltweg with Lorenzo Bandini.
