Developed in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), it is the first result of a three-year collaboration between Lamborghini and this American institution. The design of the Terzo Millennio was created by Mitja Borkert. The vehicle's technology was developed by Lamborghini engineers and MIT professors and students. The Terzo Millennio uses high-capacity supercapacitors instead of lithium batteries, exploiting their greater potential to quickly store and return electrical energy. An electric motor is installed on each wheel. Aesthetically, the car is characterized by an extreme design, with Y-shaped elements (such as the headlights and taillights) and with the rims that glow orange. The whole car is made of carbon fiber.
