At the Geneva Motor Show in 1962 the Alfa Romeo 2600 made its debut, an enhanced derivation of the 2000. In the sedan configuration, the car did not obtain too much commercial success, while the coupé and cabriolet variants, designed by prestigious coachbuilders such as Bertone and Touring. The last special 2600 was due to Giovanni Michelotti who designed a harmonious form of sedan with three side windows marketed by OSI and called De Luxe.
