The C-type Opel Rekord was also available from 1966 to 1971 with an elegant coupé body. The most common engines were the 1698 and 1879cc, both with 4 cylinders, with powers of 75 and 90hp respectively. In 1967-68, a version equipped with the 2.2-liter 6-cylinder engine was also marketed, destined to be fitted to the future Commodore Coupé as well. A sporting version, the Sprint, was issued in 1967, fitted with the 2 litres engine, giving 106bhp.
