The Forges et Ateliers de Construction d’Eure-et-Loir (Facel) launched in 1954 in the manufacture of luxury cars with Chrysler V8 engines. Five years later a small sports car was produced with a French twin-shaft, then replaced by the Volvo and again later a 6-cylinder BMC. The Facels produced were about 3000 until 1965, the year of liquidation. The FV / FV1 was the first car produced by Facel Vega, as a coupé (1954-1955) and also as a convertible (1955). The first cars of the FV series are now very sought after by collectors.
