The Forges et Ateliers de Construction d’Eure-et-Loir (Facel) launched in 1954 in the manufacture of luxury cars with Chrysler V8 engines. Five years later a small sports car was produced with a French twin-shaft, then replaced by the Volvo and again later a 6-cylinder BMC. The Facels produced were about 3000 until 1965, the year of liquidation. The FV2 model, presented in 1956, was a development of the first FV and FV1. The series was further improved and expanded until almost the end of the 1950s.
