Introduced in 1964, the Daihatsu Compagno was a small car with conventional features, with a separate chassis, torsion bar front suspension drum brakes and semi-elliptic rear suspension. Available as a 2-door sedan, station wagon and spyder, it was equipped with 4-cylinder 797 and 958cc engines. It was one of the first Japanese cars marketed in Europe. It went out of production in 1970.
