Around the same time as the 212 Inter, Ferrari designed a similar car, the 212 Export, with a shorter wheelbase. Along with the coupé versions, spyders were produced, including the 0110E chassis for the Portuguese ambassador to France and the 0106E. Shorter and lighter than the 212 Inter, the 212 Export was equipped with engines with power from 150 to 170 horsepower on the more developed exemplars.
