The sedan W123 series was presented in January 1976 and in September of the following year, in Frankfurt, Mercedes unveiled the station wagon version, named the “T”. With a body line perhaps even more elegant than that of the sedan, the T didn't sell a lot: only 3% of the W123s marketed in the model's entire career turn out to be breaks.
