In the mid-seventies, Lamborghini found itself having to deal with the need for a broader and more organized industrial production, which created several major financial and management difficulties. The Silhouette, produced from 1976 to 1977 in just 54 units, was essentially a modified Urraco P300 in "targa" configuration. The engine was the 265 horsepower 3-liter V8 that powered the Urraco P300. Poor quality control and considerable reliability problems severely compromised its diffusion. Moreover, the car was never officially homologated for the American market, even if some examples arrived there through unofficial routes.
Kyosho was founded in Japan in 1963 and began producing RC model cars in 1970, becoming one of the world's leading manufacturers in this sector. Since 1992 the company also began to appear in the world of diecasts, with products in various scales, including 1:43 and 1:18. The Kyosho models, made in China, are very well detailed, with opening parts and accurate reproduction of mechanics and interiors.
